Written alongside Ivor Ramsden MBE, Director, Manx Aviation and Military Museum, this booklet tells of the heroic tales and bravery of D-Day and 'Operation Market Garden', examining the liberation of Europe with reference to heroic Manx soldiers. 

The Liberation of Europe - WW II First Day Covers: two separate First Day Covers, one for each campaign 'D-Day 80 - The Road to Paris' and 'Operation Market Garden'. Each campaign has its own special envelope featuring all five stamp designs, affixed to the front of the envelope and cancelled with a special First Day of issue pictorial post mark.
